Health care is a basic human right, not something that people should have to buy. I believe in a national health care program. Health care should not be for sale. Until we can reach that level of thinking, there is something that we can do to lower the costs of health care.
One way that we could lower health care costs is to ban advertisement of prescription drugs. All major television networks and magazines advertise prescription drugs. Consider the paper used and money spent to bring us these ads. Worse than that, we are being exploited. Can we buy these prescription drugs without a doctor’s consultation and prescription? No! Pharmaceutical companies and the media are teaming to help themselves at our expense. Once drug advertisements cease, the cost of prescription drugs should decrease.
